Steve McCurry has been considered one of the most influential voices in contemporary photography for more than 50 years.
His unique mastery of the use of colour, empathy and humanity has made his photographs unforgettable.
The retrospective offers a meaningful and symbolic look at the work of one of the greatest masters of contemporary photography. Each photograph, almost like a window into distant worlds, takes the visitor on an exciting and sophisticated journey through different cultures, experiences and perspectives.
Through his images, McCurry brings us closer to remote populations, revealing hidden fragments of humanity and unveiling universal sentiments reflected in proud and dignified faces. His photographs transcend geographical and social boundaries, leading us to discover a world in constant flux. The exhibition opens with a series of portraits of extraordinary intensity and continues with images that range between war and poetry, suffering and joy, astonishment and irony, composing a mosaic of emotions that capture our eyes and touch our souls.
